You Need To Overcome Any Challenge Life Threw At You

A new client came to resolve the emotional pain of losing his adult son, 6 1/2 months earlier. His son was the victim of an accidental gunshot wound–according to police. Notwithstanding, that we know nothing transpires by accident, it is a reminder that life changes like this aren’t expected. One can’t prepare for such an atrocity. Yet, one needs to find a new mental/emotional footing to carry on.

No matter, how well we plan and manage our lives the unexpected can pop up. We all experience a few stumbles, missteps or unexpected experiences–whether it is a divorce, death, empty nest, a hiccup in our career or business these events can cause some people to falter for a long period or some people seem to give up.

… having the right tools to quickly and easily get back on your feet is essential if you want to live the life of your dreams.

1) Accepting what is. As it’s been said, the only way out is through and to get through anything, you need to accept the truth.

2) Take responsibility for your feelings about it or any actions you took that might have contributed to the set-back.

3) Learn from it.

4) Don’t dwell on what if, why, blame, shame, guilt, humiliation, grief.

5) Forgive yourself for any errors, omissions, and commissions.

6) Forgive everyone involved in the debacle. Let go of any emotional attachment.

7) Find gratitude for the experience. What can I learn about myself and others?

8) Dream again.
